What to see in Milan
Milan is a city to visit and more and more tourists choose it as a stopover during a tour in Italy, or simply for a few days of shopping and culture. Art, museums, fashion and gastronomy ... Milan is definitely waiting to be discovered!
Among the many attractions we'd like to highlight the following:
- Sforzesco Castle: Built by the Visconti family in the 13th century for defensive purposes, the Sforzesco Castle was renovated and modernised two hundred years later by the will of another great Milanese family, the Sforza, who transformed it into a permanent residence.
- Duomo of Milan: Undoubtedly, the key attraction of the city. Located in the centre of the square of the same name, every year it is visited by millions of tourists, who admire the wonderful white marble facade and the very high pinnacles at the top.
- La Scala Theatre: One of the most famous opera houses in the world, which has hosted the best artists on its stage. Even if you are not passionate about music or ballet, visiting it is a unique opportunity if only for the beauty of its interior.
- Brera Art Gallery: The pictorial wonders housed in this art gallery, make it undoubtedly one of the inevitable stops. It is the most important museum in the city and contains invaluable works by Hayez, Mantegna, Raffaello and many other famous artists.
